Leaving the Blog

Well, it seems after looking more closely at Facebook that this can give us Espresso experience seekers a better place to have a community. Look for Espresso Escape on Facebook, and it is linked to Twitter as well.

Niki and I both look forward to having you as part of our community. Live from the heart and all things are possible. Follow your dreams, enjoy the relationships along the way, and always appreciate when someone gives you a great espresso.

Pipiroa Country Kitchen

Sometimes when you are travelling around New Zealand you come across the nicest surprises. On the way to Thames I didn’t think there were any good cafes, maybe an okay coffee, but food....no. But when you are starving and really need a bathroom then you just stop somewhere.

Pipiroa Country Kitchen Cafe is just after Ngatea and just before the one lane bridge into Kopu. Its been around for a while and has a lovely homely feel to it. We decided to eat there, and as we are liver cleansing and can't eat meat for a while we decided on a vege burger, lentils and sesame, reminds me of the young ones and Neil. To our wonderful surprise we had the most divine burger. We even managed to get the recipe before we left. Niki and I also had a soy flat white, yes giving up dairy as well. It was good, hot and flavoursome with the lively texture that soy gives.

We will be back, and even think we will be having the vege burgers on Thursday…..Matthew
